  3. UBIC Junior Golf Tournament

    July 27, 2018, 8:00 AM @ Roosevelt Golf Course

    The annual UBIC Junior Golf Tournament is set to kick off the nine days of UBIC events on the morning of Friday, July 27, with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. The tournament will be held at the Roosevelt Golf Course and is open to players 4-17 years of age. A free luncheon, along with raffles, prizes and medals for winners will take place following play. Players are separated into age divisions as follows: 4- to 7-year-olds play five holes, 8- to 10-year-olds playing nine holes, 11- to 14-year-olds playing nine holes, and 15-to 17-year-olds playing 18 holes. There is a $20 entry fee per participant, plus green fees. Players can register for the tournament in the Roosevelt Golf Course Pro Shop. For more information, call 435-722- 9644.

  6. Miss Uintah Basin Pageant

    Who will rule the Uintah Basin this year? Find out at the annual Miss UBIC pageant. The pageant will be held on Saturday, July 29, at the Roosevelt Junior High School. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the pageant beginning promptly at 7 p.m. This year, beautiful young women from around the area will compete for the crown and the opportunity to represent the Uintah Basin at the UBIC celebration and throughout the coming year. Tickets to the show are $8 per person.

It will be held from Monday July 31 - Friday Aug 4, from 8am to 12pm at the Union High School tennis courts. 3-11 years old - Only 8-9am each day - $10 per day or $40 for the week 12-18 years old - 8am - 12pm each day - $40 per day or $175 for the week

    The Queen pageants may be full of grace, talent and poise, but there’s no pageant filled with more fun than the annual Mr. UBIC competition. This year’s pageant will be held on Monday, July, 30 at 7 p.m. at the Roosevelt Junior High School. Tickets will be $5 per person at the door. Mr. UBIC is open to young men ages 14-25 years old. The evening always features great talent performances, lots of laughs and fun for the whole family. Don’t miss this fun UBIC tradition. Mr. UBIC and his royalty will preside over this year’s UBIC celebration alongside the Miss Uintah Basin royalty.

  12. UBIC Arts and Crafts Show

    July 31, 2018, 3:00 PM - August 4, 2018, 1:00 PM @ Roosevelt West Stake Center

    Some of the most impressive arts, crafts and quilts are made right here in the Uintah Basin and you can see them for yourself at the annual UBIC Arts and Crafts Show. Arts and Crafts show entries can be delivered to the Roosevelt LDS West Stake Center, adjacent to Constitution Park, on Tuesday, July 31st, between 3 and 6 p.m. The show will be closed to everyone on Wednesday, Aug. 1st, for judging. Doors open to the public on Aug. 2, 3 and 4. It’s a great opportunity to show off your own creativity or escape the afternoon sun and take in the talent of others. On Thursday and Friday, the show is open from 11 a.m. till 7 p.m. On Saturday, doors open at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with artists picking up their pieces from 2 till 3 p.m. For more information, or to volunteer to help at the Arts and Crafts Show, call Amy Baldwin at 435-621-3928

    Do you have a talent to share? Take the opportunity at this year’s UBIC talent show. The talent show will be held on Tuesday, July 31, at 7 p.m. at the Roosevelt Junior High School auditorium. The contest is open to performers of all ages and can be entered for a fee of $5 per person. Cash prizes will be awarded to top placers, and winners will have the chance to perform during UBIC.
