Keep Our Streets Clear- Remove Junk Vehicles and Trailers!

We have all seen junked vehicles or trailers being stored on the streets in our city. Sometimes in our neighborhoods, and sometimes even more than one! There are several reasons why the public roadway should not be used as long-term parking for vehicles that are immobile, unregistered (or expired registration), or parked illegally, but when it starts to snow it becomes even more important to keep our streets clear. Roosevelt Police Officers will be contacting the owners of some of the known problem vehicles around town to get them removed and is asking for the public’s help. If you have an immobile or unregistered/ expired vehicle, or a trailer that has been parked on the street for more than 72 hours, please find somewhere else to store it! Not only will our city streets look better, but it will be easier for our plows to thoroughly clear your street after our next snowstorm. Don't forget, a clear roadway also means better access for emergency vehicles!

Temporary on-street parking is allowed on all Roosevelt City streets, but please consider the safety of other drivers and pedestrians when choosing your spot. Parking too close to an intersection limits visibility, which could cause an accident. Utah state law prohibits parking within 30-feet of a stop sign or intersection.
