[ARCHIVED] Roosevelt City fireworks information for 2020 season

2020 fireworks information

As the Fourth of July holiday weekend approaches, Roosevelt City has released their fireworks guidelines for the 2020 season.

As established by the Utah State Fire Marshal, fireworks may be discharged from July 2-5 from the hours of 11 a.m. to 11 p.m, with hours extended til midnight on July 4.

There are no location restrictions on fireworks in Roosevelt City for the Fourth of July holiday. However, as always, the Roosevelt Fire Department asks all residents to use caution and common sense when lighting fireworks. Do not light fireworks in open fields, near any dry grass or dead weeds, or in any other area where fire is a risk. Fireworks are safest when used on a flat, inflammable surface such as concrete, asphalt, bare sand, or stone.

There are two other approved holidays when fireworks may be launched in Utah. Over the Pioneer Day holiday, fireworks may be discharged from July 22-25 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., with hours extended til midnight on July 24. Over the New Year’s Eve holiday, fireworks may be launched on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 from 11 a.m. til 1 a.m.

Fireworks restrictions within Roosevelt City may change at any time if the risk of wildfire increases.
