Fire burning against black background with text reading "Roosevelt City spring burning closed"

Like the rest of Duchesne County, Roosevelt City is also closing its spring burn window due to current dry fuel conditions, high winds, and low relative humidity. Early extreme fire season behavior has created serious concerns for the possible severity of the season ahead.

The open burn window is officially closed until further notice. Residents are encouraged to take safety precautions, heed red flag warnings, and do their part to mitigate wildfire danger this season.
